In full: Should be called the mud hill massacre! Very well organised and marshals were brilliant - very encouraging. Killer hills made your legs burn but downhill at the end was the most welcome sight ever! Slippy mud was a nightmare. Would have liked a few more places to run where you didn't feel that you might break your legs. Overall great atmosphere but not for the faint hearted. Date of review: February 7, 2010

In short: First off road race, mud and water made me laugh, cold feet, never stopped smilingg! In full: As a 1st timer it was everything I expected and more. Challenging hills, lots of sticky mud and water everywhere. Agree that start line was crowded so difficult to get a pace going but overall excellent. Will be back next year.
