In short: Brilliant! In full: Great idea of the organisers to set up a Facebook page to keep runners updated before the race it also showed how much work had gone into the race! Great course, completely closed roads, loads and loads of enthusiastic marshals, lovely medal, technical t shirt - not white!! energy gel at the start, brill goody bag and fantastic finish - I'm not a football fan but it still felt special to finish on the centre circle! Only 1 improvement I can think of for next year is chip timing. For the first one the organisers did a pretty good job of making it perfect, they even booked perfect racing weather! In short: Great race In full: Bit of a long warm up to the start but it ensured that i did a full warm up. Flat fast course - just 1 small incline which was barely noticable. Orange juice and water at water stations, great marshalls and shock horror a black t shirt which is fab - something other than white!! Will definately do again. Date of review: December 13, 2009

In short: Apart from a couple of niggles this is a great race In full: Great race very scenic lots of water about but can't do anything about that. Race started 20 minutes late due to surface water. Niggles were no drinks on the course and at the finish they sent us onto the playing field which was so muddy (i finished after an hour so most runners had already gone through) i was covered in mud i tried to walk around most of it and still had it all up my legs - this i was not impressed with at all as there were alternatives.
