In short: Scorton 10k another great run!
In full: As per last year, a very well organised and well attended race. An undulating course with one quite steep hill, but the rest fairly level, and good for a PB. Nice t-shirt at the end!

In short: nice flat run ni the countryside
In full: well organised, unique goody bag at the end containing a melon, orange, apple, nectarine & kiwi fruit! plus free ice cream although you had to go to Bonds just up the road to get that so some people may have missed it. Only slight complaint was the marshall on the very last corner was stood on the near side rather than the far side of the road, so it was not obvious whether you had to turn down the road or go straight on (normally I just follow the person in front but things had thinned out by then so noone to follow!)

In short: once again, very well organised Half marathon and good weather!
In full: I have done this run for a number of years now, always well organised, flat course so good for PB although last 4 miles back down the main road from Lytham are a bit of a slog.... Weather always sunny but can get a bit breezy!

In short: despite other comments, I really enjoyed it!!!
In full: There are still some basic improvements to be made but I enjoyed this run more than I ever thought I would enjoy a marathon!

Firstly the negatives - the toilets at the start! When i got there at about 09,40 it was chaos, although there were loads of toilets most of them seemed to be locked, presumably already out of order?

Secondly, there were no (and I mean zero) marshalls at the start to tell you were to go, which is not as obvious as it sounds in a big race like this.

Apart from these niggles, I found it be a very pleasant route, down out of Edinburgh, through a very nice seaside town and out along the coast, then back again to finish in Musselburgh Park.

Plenty of support in the residential areas, regular water stations & gels being given out nearer the finish.

It was hot (which personally I enjoyed) but comments about starting earlier to avoid this seem a bit silly as we are not in southern Europe but Scotland, and it is just as likely to be snowing next year!

I recognised that getting back to Edinburgh was going to be an issue so my wife drove to Musselburgh and parked just up the road from the bus park.

All in all, I really enjoyed the day out.

In short: great undulating 10k taking in some nice scenery and village location
In full: The first 10k as part of the Scorton village "Bikes & Barrows" weekend, very well organised, lots of marshalls and nice to start and finish in a small village with plenty going on.

In short: enjoyable flat race along the sea front with the predicatble wind blowing!
In full: Although the route was changed at the last minute I really enjoyed this run, only 300 people so quickly thinned out and easy to maintain your own pace.

In short: NIce country 10k with some hills - see comments re dangerous start
In full: Enjoyable race. The only issue is the start which is in the school car park and has a number of dangerous obstacles including a couple of 3 foot high posts and several kerbs, all of which are not clearly visible in the melee at the start. I saw at least 3 people fall and there may well have been injuries, i saw at least 1 person fall last year so these are not isolated incidents. Starting in the road would cut maybe 100m max off the course but would be a much safer option.

In short: scenic flat half marathon, c700 runners and lots of support on route and at end
In full: Bit chaotic at start collecting online numbers, could have been speeded up if each letter of the alphabet was also sorted alphabetically rather than having to thumb through the whole pile every time! Apart from that, great weather and very well supported - nice finish on running track with lots of people cheering!
