In short: Tough but rewarding!
In full: The only race that I have ever said "never again" after (twice), but by the evening & reflecting on what a fabulous race it is, I'm ready to enter again next year. Tough but rewarding & an unparalled experience. Plenty to keep families entertained as well whilst the runners are enjoying themselves.

In short: What goes up also comes down & a swim included
In full: Glorious run through the hilly Devon countryside including the opportunity to have several paddles. Thanks to the friendly marshalls - I thought they were shouting for me at one stage then realised the local I was with had the same name! Special thanks at the last river crossing to the chap who pulled me up the bank. One of my all time favourite races.

In short: Billed as 'arduous', they didn't lie
In full: Something different with tanks & abandoned villages. I reckon someone left the gate open though as it was blowing a bit which added to the challenge. Overall an enjoyable run in the wild.

In short: What a great race. Glorious run out in the sun.
In full: Great marshalling and very friendly. Forget the net though, it wasn't an advenbture race was it? Last river crossing very conveniently placed for leaving yourself cleaned up ready for the finish line photo.

In short: 1st time I've needed a rope to get up the hills!
In full: I practically live on the course & got used to lots of lovely mud for the last few weeks so the frozen ground was a bit of a shock. Excellent race overall though I fancy the new course seemed tougher than the old

In short: A race of 2 'halves'. 1st 19 great, 2nd 7 not so great!
In full: 1st half is an excellent course with plenty of great scenery. Then theres 'the hill' at 19 miles after which things get more lumpy for a while & less scenic with selfish drivers aplenty. Excellent marshalls did a great job at junctions as did the water & sponges teams.
