In short: Restored my faith in long trail races
In full: Great day out. Great org, briefing, route very well marked and marshalled even with police helping at the 2 road crossings. Had everything from fields, woods, tracks, lanes and all those styles and slip-throughs were great fun even if i did get stuck in one!! great training run for endurance and best run as that to really enjoy it.

In short: Very well organised race on a good course
In full: Started with excellant directions in the race info. Ample car parking near to start and finish. Good course - mildly undulating and scenic through country lanes. Very well marshalled. Great to finish right next to the clubhouse and the hot showers were very welcome on a wet, cold day especially as i had a 2hr drive home. 'Free' sarny was a nice touch. Great atmosphere in the clubhouse after the finish. With a small field of under 400 runners this had the feel of a club runners event but very welcoming for beginners as well.

In short: Spoilt by the diabolical post finish area.
In full: Post race finish area was a disaster. Long walk to water tables, 15 minute bottleneck queue for goodie bag/T Shirt (no room to bypass this), after baggage collection everyone bottlenecked again to get through 3 metre gap in exit fence then one mile walk (part uphill) to shuttle buses. Route OK but the finish area left me really disappointed.
