In short: Excellent local event
In full: My third time, I love modest sized, well organised events like this. Closed country lanes perfect for running on, moderately undulating course with one hill, perhaps not an all out PB course but still quite quick. Nice array of post race snacks and a clubhouse for the awards and relaxation after. Thanks to all organisers and marshalls for a great day.

In short: Great race
In full: My fourth year in a row, another excellently organised event. Thanks to all marshalls and volunteers. I thought the marshalls on the toilet queues were brilliant. There's last minute queues at every event - get there earlier instead of moaning! I guess separate water supplies at the finish would be a good idea.

In short: Lovely race
In full: A long bus journey to get there but the atmosphere at the start with the pipes and drums squirling in the mist was really motivating. It's a tough course but I think it can be quite fast if you can cope with downhill running and hold back sufficiently over the first half. The hill at Dores is really not too bad if you put in some hill training. Most of the course is quiet and very scenic but with good support at the hill and then coming into Inverness up to the finish. Great organisation, there is an inevitalbe lack of Portaloos at the start though. Nice soup! Managed a PB so I was well chuffed. Thanks to all marshalls, other volunteers and the organisers.

In short: Excellent Race
In full: My second year at this excellent race. Congratulations to Ashford and Nice Work and thank you to all the numerous marshals. The emailed instructions are informative. Arrive early and don't be in a rush to get away and you will avoid traffic stress. The car park is fine - it is a local rural event. Some Portaloos was an improvement on last year but a few more still would help. Nice course, undulating but quite fast, hill not too bad at all.

In short: Faultless, congratulations to all organisers and marshals
In full: Superb marshals and police in the atrocious conditions - thank you.
Tough but rewarding course.
Clockwork organisation.
Great atmosphere, lots of nice touches like the drumming and enthusiastic crowd.
Excellent bag drop, a well deserved cup given to the long time organiser....
Nice after race arrangements with the massages for charity and Dame Kelly Holmes genuinely enthusiastic at the presentations.
Even the car drivers looked quite tolerant to me, maybe I missed the grumpy ones.
Big congratulations to Tunbridge Wells Harriers.

In short: Very enjoyable race
In full: Any event with a lot of people arriving together down small country lanes is bound to have some congestion - I turned up early (9.30) and left just after the medal ceremony so avoided all the problems people are moaning about. Yes there was a slight bottleneck at the start but no different (for me) to a lot of races large and small. I enjoyed the route, it is undulating most of the way but no really serious hills. Thank you to all the marshals for their efforts which are appreciated. Long way to the start? - what you can't walk or jog a few hundred yards! The lack of enough toilets is the only serious flaw in my opinion and should be addressed in the future.

In short: Very enjoyable, nice change from roads
In full: Really glad I did this race.
It was windy and wet and the first mile or so up Black Hill is a tough opening. But getting it out the way early on sets up the rest of the course nicely. An undulating route through beautiful scenery. I found running on some of the tracks quite a change from roads or paths and you need to concentrate on some of the downhill sections over loose stones. Very friendly competitors, smooth low key organisation. I'd recommend this to anyone as a good introduction to fell running.

In short: Very enjoyable event
In full: Nice course, good mixture of surfaces, nothing too demanding.
Good atmosphere before and after.
Excellent marshals and PA announcer - thank you.
The technical fault with the time clock - these things happen. Posting the correction on the website so promptly helped a lot.
Narrow country lanes if you are drivng - arrive early to avoid the queues.
The red jelly babies were my favourites.

In short: Superbly organised half marathon. Just arrive early.
In full: I thought the organisation was faultless, from the very first marshall at the railway station road crossing to the end.
Toilets - there were quite a lot of portaloos, reasonably short queues until close to the start time.
Baggage drop - no problem if you allowed plenty of time - the organisers were doing their best to exhort people to drop off early but there are bound to be queues if everybody leaves it to the last minute.
Start - alright it was busy for the first few miles but we were in the red section and I didn't find that many people out of place, yes we had to squeeze past sometimes in the first few miles but that is just part of it to me.
Marshalls - great.
Water stations - enough for a half marathon in my opinion but I don't tend to drink much on the way round unless it's very hot.
Last few miles - a bit monotonous maybe but it is going to be tough wherever you are.
Stadium finish - great.
The only thing I missed was seeing the results put up in the post race area, maybe we just didn't find them.
Congratulations to all involved.
