In short: Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud
In full: Found new muscles I never knew I had today just trying to keep upright on the mud. well organised, fantastic marshalls and free bananas. Really enjoyed the camaradery, didn't enjoy trying to climb hills that were so slippery with mud that you end up taking one step forward and slide two back. Sure I would have enjoyed it alot more if the rain hadn't happened in the preceding days, but hey - thats trail running for you!

In short: Excellent race and very well organised
In full: I love this race mainly because it's my home town, dont listen to anyone who says the organisation is below par, it has been spot on every time. If you know it's gonna be hot then take a drink!!!! A nice easy run in glorious surroundings although the heat did make it a little harder than normal. Overall and excellent well organised race. ( and a nice t-shirt and medal at the end)

In short: Cold, icy, freezing but great fun
In full: Excellent race. Sunday was freezing cold, all the water was frozen and leg numbingly cold, the thick mud was great fun, nice couple of miles of flat track towards the end to really warm your self up after all the cold water - until you come to the giant freezing 2ft deep puddle 50 yards before the finish line.
Great race and great fun too.
