In short: Loved it.
In full: First time...had a FGFA place which was useful if want to get off to a quick start (bit too quick in my case). Hard to compare against any other UK marathon as is on such a bigger scale. Hopefully I will be back for more.

In short: Well organised scenic race
In full: Have done this race several times...and this was definitely the coldest! That wind in the last few miles was most unwelcome, please try avoid that for next year organisers.
This is a well managed event, there are loads of marshalls on the route...they must have been freezing out there!
I expect will be back again next year, weather permitting.

In short: Sets the standard for other marathons
In full: Had a brilliant day. A new PB and sub 3 so very chuffed. All helped by a really well organised event....from the fantastic marshalling to the baggage storage and kids events, just made the whole day for me. Will never forget it. They were lucky with the weather though - if had been wetter the race course mud may ruin things a bit.

In short: Not cheap - but a great event
In full: Have run this many times, this is the race that got me started, and wasn't going to run it as now race longer distances and was thinking this was a bit fun runnish for me, but so glad I did. Really enjoyed it this year. Got a PB too - although as mentioned if you're not at the start of your wave you're going to have to dodge a lot of people, but that was part of the fun for me. Also great to run in the same race as so many people of different abilities.

In short: Ruined by baggage screw up
In full: This would be getting much higher marks if wasn't for the baggage farce at the end. To not be able to get to dry clothes, phone and key after finishing was not on - infact was dangerous. I had to get out and walk home as thought I was going to be in serious trouble. My partner luckily found my bag for me in the end, outside the tent where anyone could pick it up, and with the contents totally soaked.
Apart from that the marshalling and support were great considering the terrible conditions, and I got a PB and a GFA time for London (unless they've screwed that up somehow) - so personally very happy - just the finish baggage thing was horrible.

In short: Great half marathon
In full: 3rd time I've ran the half marathon and each time have PB'd - so obviously one of my faves! Very well organised, friendly race. Nearly missed the start due to traffic - so, make sure you leave with plenty of time people! Bottles are easier to drink from, but most people just take on a bit then throw away so personally I think cups are better. If really need to drink the lot, stop.

In short: Enjoyable, but tough
In full: This was my first time - and I was expecting hills, but maybe not so steep and long! Some of those downhills are a killer! Nice, friendly, well organised small race...will definately be back.

In short: A great race
In full: This was my 2nd time, and thoroughly enjoy it. Can't fault anything - maybe more loos setup at start.
I didn't drink from water stations on route - but if had bottles there would be bottle full of water being thown everywhere and would prove very dangerous.
Nice getting the medal and tech t-shirt.
