In short: Fantastic race
In full: A very tough course but it's worth it. GREAT marshals and very very well organised. Receiving the goody bag was like Christmas.

In short: Uphill start was just cruel!
In full: ....But there was enough downhill to make up for it. Tow path was a bit dull Can't really blame the organisers for that though. One problem I found was the narrow path 200 yards from the finish. Slower runners stopped me achieving a PB. No room to overtake. Apart from that, great marshals and nice technical t-shirt. I'll be back.

In short: I didn't realise Otley had two mountains
In full: Better weather than last year! PW but I'm not upset. One day I'll conquer those hills without having to stop! My only fault is the lack of results 24hours later.

In short: Enough undulation to keep it interesting
In full: Not as flat as you'd expect, but less boring that way! Great support from the marshals. Very well organised.

In short: Tough but great trail race
In full: There were more roads than I thought so road shoes would have been fine. Very well marshalled and a very well mapped out course. Would be a great race for a newbie wanting to try out trail running.

In short: Wow! Hard but worth it!
In full: I had heard how incredibly hard this race was and was really nervous when race day arrived! Yes the hills were erm...nails, but walking up them helped!! The marshals were very friendly and helpful and the organisation was second to none. Still walking funny but It's on my list for next year.

In short: Hard but worth it.
In full: I had only done the Otley 10mi before and thought it couldn't possibly be any harder. I was wrong. So very wrong. There were more ups than downs and the ups went on for ever and ever and ever and ever etc.
Faultless organisation and marshalling. The goodie bags contained a mug and some samples. Much more welcomed than the usual cotton t-shirt.
Would do again....If I wasn't such a wimp.

In short: Hard race.
In full: A friend had re-named this Death Hill 10k and I'm inclined to agree!! An awful day weather wise really didn't help matters, but the mars bar at the finish was rather welcomed. Marshalls were supportive and friendly.
