In short: A good race around a few local woodland paths, all for charity
In full: For a first time race this was very well organised. A good course that kept you interested all the time, paths, road, slight hills, mud, grassland, plenty of variety. The goody bag at the end had plenty of bits and pieces that are actually useful, as opposed to plenty of advertising flyers that you find in other race goody bags. Only gripe is that there was no secure baggage area. I arrived by push bike on my own, but the lovely ladies in the kitchen looked after my bag for me. So it did not prove to be a problem. I am already looking forward to next years race

In short: A lot of first time teething problems need sorting out
In full: the start was too congested, that is after everybody had to listen to somebody trying to "warm everyone up". Please organisers, forget that next year. Fun runners mixed in with 10km runners and hardly any room, it took at least 2km to get any real running space. The "water stations" were just two big water barrels with taps, no chance of getting a drink.
Good points.......cheap, stewards generally cheerful and encouraging, a lovely scenic run, traffic free.

In short: usual slick organisation
In full: A race that takes you around the track, through housing estates, along country lanes, up steep hills and down fast inclines. A good hard race with encouraging helpers and lots of runner friendliness.

In short: A nice small half with a fairly challenging course
In full: All well organised. Well marshalled throughout and a challenging course that has two fairly tough hills. Not steep, just long!!!
Starts and finishes on the local track.

In short: same as last year
In full: well organised, plenty of parking, no confusion, chip timing, fast course. I have run this twice now and will continue to return until i am too old! I liked the memento of a towel as it is different.

In short: too many hills for me!!!
In full: 2nd time i have done this race and i was 5 minutes slower than last year, despite knowing what to expect. Good atmosphere from everyone and all the organisation was slick. bananas at the end was a nice touch too. Do not know if i will ever be back though, me and hills do not agree!

In short: great local support on a challenging course
In full: 2 steep hills to keep you working hard, but plenty of support and locals giving out jelly babies, ice pops, hosing you down and doing anything that will help you along. Only gripe i have was the choatic end. I had a bloke on a push bike beside me for the last 300 yds, and i never got my time medal. It just all seemed very crushed and very chaotic, but saying that, i will be back next year. Even if my time was over 10 minutes off my PB and it was my slowest ever half!!!

In short: A well organised race with nice touches
In full: Only complaint i have is the start. It was too small for the amount of runners and at times i felt it was getting chaotic. Saying that however, good flat course with a couple of hills thrown in at the start, plenty of encouragement and support, good quality running shirt as a memento along with a goodie bag. Car parking was all well organised, even as far as directing traffic to help get people away after the race. All the organiser have to do is sort the start out and he will have a silky smooth race on his hands.

In short: those hills never end!
In full: Scenic run around the country lanes around Uttoxeter. Well marshalled and the local cubs and scouts did a great job on the 4 water stations. A very warm day that made me suffer. Not sure if i will do it again, but only because i did not enjoy all those hills.
