In short: Muddy bottoms and the rest
In full: Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic. If you like to get wet and muddy, climb steep hills and slide back down them, then this is the race for you. It's not really a race just a fun day out in the mud. You must do this race. Certinally challenging and you don't notice the distance or time as you are too busy concentrating on the path and people ahead.

In short: Better than 2009 a must do race
In full: I think the course was better than 2009, definatly the start/finish. The long uphill start although seamed fine at the time definatly took its toll later on. Challenging and the wet mud / pools to get accross made it more interesting. If like me you don't go that fast you do get to enjoy the views of Lancashire. Yes the gates were a problem with the queues and the last water station running out of water. But there were a lot more running than 2009. They will get it right next time. You should do this.

In full: A fine race to start the year. Nice route and very well marshalled, they did very well in stopping the few traffic crossings. Thanks.

In short: Excelent scenery, great mix of teraine
In full: 1st Half. 1st Propper off road race. Enjoyed very much. Really enjoyed the narrow tracks, jumps over mud/brooks. Nice goody bag at the end. The only one thing, everyone seemed to have gone home when I was finishing, will have to do it quicker next time. Good marshals didn't get lost, thanks to them. Will be back next year.

In short: Fantastic atmosphear at the start. Liked the drums. Great run along the river
In full: Great start even if the mayor fluffed the starting pistol. Really liked the drum band. Very well organised, starting pens and every 1k marked new for this year. Enjoyed the park/river, wasn't concentrating on the city scenary much. Thanks to the marshals they often get overlooked, they where at every majour point along the route. Will be back next year.
