In short: Well done Wakey
In full: Perfect conditions for todays race. Sun shining and no wind. Fast out and back route with a couple of rises thrown in for the challenge. Managed to get under 45 mins for a PB so pleased.

In short: Great day for it
In full: Superb conditions for today's race. Knocked nearly 5 mins off last years time so well pleased. Very well organised. Great encouragement from the marshalls all the way round - thanks. Could have done with the parked cars being out of the way at the start line (not sure why they don't start on the main road?). This is a great spring race. A good tester. Will be back next year.

In short: Superb event
In full: Fantastic event today. The route was superb and their was a great spirit amongst the field. A big thank you to all of the marshals that manned the checkpoints. Warm food at the end went down a treat. Top marks to whoever made the Apple Crumble. This race is a gem.

In short: For fun runners?
In full: This was a mass run for a great cause, bit not an event for the serious runner. For starters, why did they bring the Red (1hr+) runners up to the same start line as the Green (sub 1hr) runners? All this did was cause a mass mix-up at the off. Then how come the actual distance was 10.25k? This adds 1min15secs to a 50minute race so I suspect a few runners dissappointed with their times today - no fault of your own.
Finally, how many times do we have to have lack of toilets. About 15 loos for 2500 people at the Green start - woeful. And where were all the people of Leeds to cheer us on? A poor spectator turn-out compared to Sheffield.

All that aside - an inspirational cause.

In short: Good event - hills weren't too bad!
In full: A bit of a dreary day, which was good to run in, but not so good for the spectator numbers. Still, good support, particularly at the half-way point. And I hope someone gives those cheerleadrs a medal! Great to have a stadium start and finish. Only gripes were: cups of water at the drinking stations - waste of time, needed a bottle; no signage to get off the track at the end and then had to cross in front of runners coming into the stadium to get to the car-park. Chuffed to bits with my overall time though. 1:45 for my first half. Now thinking I could break 1:40 on a flatter course.
