In short: Mix of roads and tracks thorough London . Hilly in parts, but nice long stretches along canal tow paths :) In full: Overall, I really enjoyed my first Ultra - and first race over a half marathon. The aid stations were well stocked; the competitors all friendly and happy to chat and there was a warm cheer when you reached the finishing line :). Rain on the Saturday before had left the off-road sections very muddy and resulted in some impromptu break dancing. Navigation was a bit tricky in places, but the signage was pretty good over the whole route. I would thoroughly recommend this race for anyone wishing an introduction to longer races. In short: Hills, ice and mud. In full: A fair few bemused dog walkers and a horse rider seemed puzzled to see us out there, but I would recommend it to anyone. Date of review: February 16, 2010

In short: Great race in beautiful scenery In full: Bit of a crush on narrow paths at the start meant it was hard to overtake. Great fun though and never a dull moment as you searched for solid ground to run on :-) Date of review: February 10, 2008

In short: Fast course, well organised but could do with loos at the start In full: The only negative point for me was the man in the Esso station closing his loo. Nice pleasent scenery along the tow-path and an initial lap of the park spread everyone out enough that overtaking was never really a problem. Date of review: November 11, 2007
