In short: Great race normally - Organisers overstretched themselves this year
In full: This is the 4th time I've run this race, 2010 was terrible, 2011 was excellent but today's was a return to the organisational frailties that dogged the 2010 run. The course was overmeasured by about 1/3 mile (500m), the baggage area was poorly managed and too far away, in fact it was in the area most people use for warm-up, the toilets were insufficent for the numbers on the day and the goody bag idea - well this should have been ignored, great medal though. I think this year the organisers wanted to have a bigger race and this overstretched their resources, hopefully next year they'll reduce the size of the event and it will be more successful, not sure that I'll run it though - depends what the organisers say about their performance this year.

In short: Much better than last year - Brighton half is back on track
In full: The organisers learned a lot of lessons from last year, with a great new wider and flater (it seems) route, better finish, bands on the run were a good addition and they even remembered to put an order in for the weather!

Only real quibbles are
1) the lack of loos, meaning a mad scramble at the beginning
2) the finish needs to be better organised, maybe with some signs. Bags would be a good idea and more efficient but I'm sure the organisers want to keep the plastic content down
That said the organisers got a lot more right than they did wrong this year.

Brighton half is back on track and certainly a race worth doing.

In short: A very well organised race with an interesting and challenging route
In full: Excellent race, good atmosphere and well organised. The first 4k are tough but from there on its plain sailing and the cakes are definately worth getting to the end for.

In short: Hard race but worth a go
In full: I really enjoyed this race and want to go back next year and better my time. The hill at 3.5k is a killer and the stiles do break up any rhythm that you have built up. It would be a good idea to change the course route slightly to put the first stile further into the race to avoid the queues that build up.
Don't be put off though, the event has a wonderful feel, the scenery is great and the organisers are trying to build a fantastic event and I'm sure that lessons will be learned as each year goes by such as cups and water at the finish and more toilets. I would recommend this race but be prepared for a big challenge with the hill.

In short: New course for 2007 very difficult, first 5k mostly uphill. A few single tracks making overtaking difficultt
