In short: Wonderful city half marathon
In full: Id like to start my review by saying, well done Leicester, you did yourself proud today. Having raced a number of half marathons, this was definitely my favorite. The 13.10 miles flew by as we were treated to beautiful parks, riverside runs and a motivating band of drummers in the city centre at mile 11. This is an undulating race, no major climbs except in the final mile, just steady inclines.
Brilliant atmosphere and superb event.

In short: Brilliant race despite the heat.
In full: 27 degree heat in October made this race hellish. Putting the heat to one side, I cannot recommend this race highly enough. The race organisation was superb, the marshalls were incredibly encouraging and the crowd support was the best I have seen at an event. Great T-shirt and medal.

In short: Brilliant race
In full: A great scenic race over 2 laps of Stratford countryside. The course is quite undulating with a couple of testing hills and a flat former rail road path across the greenway. The race was superbly organised and the organisers were extremely welcoming to first time marathon runners. The finish next to the river was beautiful and the crowd support and marshalling was excellent.

In short: Well organised, great half marathon.
In full: A well organised half marathon which is welcoming to beginners. A reasonably flat course with some hills which were not overly challenging. A great atmosphere and lovely medal.
