In short: Great to run a 20 miler without laps
In full: A nice race which deserves more entrants, with a great base, convenient parking, excellent marshalling and adequate water stations well run by the cadets. It was freezing this morning but marshalls were everywhere you needed them.
Refreshingly the 20 mile course takes you out on 2 separate loops and so there is none of that oh here we go again, well worth the trip.

In short: Not as good as it used to be
In full: I always look forward to this race even with it's iffy start, but this year's renewal just seemed a little frayed at the edges nothing major but lots of little issues which detracted for what is usually a nice event.

I'm sure the organisers are aware of the issues themselves especially those caught up with the leader running back through half the field at the second and third water stop.

There's nothing wrong with the event even with these issues but if that's going to be the standard from now on then the entry fee should come down a few quid.

In short: The nicest race I've ever been involved in.
In full: Just a faultless experience.

Toilet provision spot on, never said that in a review before.

Advance warning of the pinch points and tree roots highlighted. Beginners positively welcomed but not at the expense of the seasoned runners.

Interesting terrain for the first 2 miles of each lap made it a perfect combination of challenging and quick. This was a well thought out course with top quality organisation and plentiful marshalls helpfully ensuring that you were safe out on the course.

Thank you

In short: Fun but website should have been updated the night b4 to warn 25cm of mud in places
In full: Really was enjoyimg myself until I saw someone suffer a nasty injury in the Country Park section, thereafter the mud was no longer funny. Recommend you do it once but you need specialist foot wear.

In short: Deservedly in the top 50 runs a joy to participate in
In full: This really was a lovely race to participate in. A nice wide start to let you get away, excellent marshalling even on the far reaches of the course, well spaced and staffed drinks stations just a few more toilets at the start and it would have been perfect on a day which was great to be out running.

In short: Not bad at all and it's nice to run this distance so early in the year
In full: The start needs work if you get stuck behind 2 or 3 mates out for a chatter there isn't any way past for a mile or so until the race speads out, but great marshalling and good parking with easy access to M25. I certainly think I'll include this again in next years training program.
