In short: A great day!
In full: My first marathon, and what a way to start! I knew it would be a struggle, but the day was just amazing. Superb organisation, fantastic crowds, a day I won't forget in a hurry.

Fingers crossed for a ballot place for next year!

In short: Good but windy!
In full: My second go at Bognor, and it didn't disappoint. Thank goodness the rain stopped before the start! Support was even better than last year, organisation was great, easy parking, enough loos, excellent marshalls, and if it hadn't been for that wind I would have got a big PB, instead of the little one I managed to get.

I'll be back again next year - this is becoming a bit of a favourite!

In short: BIg hills, but amazing support!
In full: My first Hastings, and it pretty much lived up to the reviews. The hills seemed never ending, but the support was just brilliant.

In short: A nice run by the sea!
In full: My second time at this race, last year being my first HM so I knew what to expect!

I know that the hills aren't particularly bad (the last HM I did was Barns Green!), but I don't like the fact that you don't get the benefit of a nice downhill stretch! The race was well organised, with a few minor route changes this year which made a difference (no steps up to the cycle path).

I was happy to get a t-shirt, but they had advertised a medal as well, so a little disappointed. I like the fabric bag though - nice touch.

In short: What a great race!
In full: My first Barns Green, and I'm sure it won't be my last. Those hills are nasty, but at least they come back down again. Friendly crowds and marshalls, great atmosphere, a great race.

In short: A great day out!
In full: My target was to equal my PB from Bognor, which is an easier course. I managed to beat it by 13 seconds, and I felt like I'd worked for it!

A lovely route along the downslink, and through the farm estates. It wasn't quite as flat as I had hoped, but at least there were downs as well as ups! That short climb back onto the downslink is just what you don't need at 8.5k.

A very friendly and well organised race. Well done to the marshalls for braving the rain! I shall be back next year.

In short: A great race, and a great PB!
In full: A very well organised race - easy and plentiful parking, fantastic marshals, good signage, and a couple of unofficial water stations! Great support all the way round, especially through the residential area before the return run along the prom.

A big PB for me, and I'm sure I'll be back next year.

In short: A great event for a great cause!
In full: Despite the weather, I really enjoyed myself! Very well organised, great atmosphere and good marshalling (with pom poms as well!) I shall be back next year.

In short: My first half, and hopefully not my last!
In full: Having done the Brighton 10k in November, it was a great relief to have good weather today! I was always heading for a slow time, and found it harder than expected, but I finished (and not last either). Atmosphere was great, especially from runners who had finished and were walking back to their cars while I plodded past. No thanks though to the woman who told me the wrong way, only to be corrected by a marshall, which caused me to trip over a curb and fall over. If you don't know the right way, say you don't know!

It got a bit lonely out towards the marina, and I could have quite easily taken a short cut (which I didn't). No medal for me at the end, but they were very apologetic. I guess the good weather meant a lower than usual turnout.

In short: Great apart from the wind!
In full: My first ever 10k. A good course for beginners like me, as it's almost completely flat. The biggest problem today was that there was a very strong SW wind, which was nice going along the prom towards Hove, but made the last 3k very very hard!
No snacks left by the time I finished, and no drinks for anyone, which was a bit disappointing. Will do it again though, as it's local.
