In short: My first GNR and a very special day. Crowds are very encouraging, crossing the Tyne bridge with the Red Arrows overhead was unforgettable and the last mile down the sea front was also truly memorable. In full: My support crew parked in North Shields by mistake so after the race I had to walk about 2 miles and queue up for nearly an hour for the ferry. Date of review: October 9, 2007
