In short: Well organised run that's great for a PB.
In full: Terrific atmosphere at the start and finish. It didn't matter which wave you were in the crowds stayed to cheer. The course was fast and the time between the waves meant I got a good run right from the start. The run is well marshalled and the bands on the run really get you through. Loved this year's t-shirt design.

In short: Hilly and challenging against the spectacular backdrop of Edinburgh
In full: Despite the weather, there was a great atmosphere and a good turn out. The warm up got everyone rocking and ready for the first 2km uphill. A great course with plenty of hills to challenge you and then a fantastic final 1k down the Royal Mile to finish fast. A well organised race.

In short: Challenging start to the year that blows the Christmas pudding away!
In full: Exhilarating run up Arthur's Seat. The snow the night before meant that the course was changed but it was still very challenging. Great atmosphere at the start and the music at 3k was very uplifting. Fantastic to see so many people on the start line despite the freezing cold weather!

In short: Great race, fast course, well organised and tons of atmosphere
In full: As always Manchester does itself proud. The support given to runners is fantastic right around the course. Well organised and a great run.

In short: Undulating course that both challenged and rewarded.
In full: New start much improved this race. It was great to get the worst hill out of the way first and the rest of the uphill was rewarded by downhills. Well organised and really enjoyed it.

In short: Very muddy!
In full: Enjoyable race but the mud through the woods made it treacherous in places and made a PB out of the question. Not sure if you need chip timing for this race - would rather Action Duchenne kept the money for their charity.

In short: Invigorating!
In full: After all the snow and ice, it was so nice to be able to run outside again. The organisers did an excellent job in providing a safe yet challenging course. It was hard work running up the hill in the snow but it gave you a good work out and the views at the top were fantastic. The handwarmers in the goody bag at the end were a nice touch.

In short: Nice flat course until the last km!
In full: Well organised race with a good atmosphere. The big screen at 5km was brilliant and really added to the occasion. Last kilometre is tough up hill but good fun!
