In short: Room for improvement, but great race overall
In full: As a local, it was great to run round my own little bit of Brum, on a straightforward out-and-back course. Organisation could improve, re. start pens, queues for bag storage way too long at start, loo queues mixed up with start pens, absolutely no signage whatsoever anywhere to tell runners where to go for the start/ bag storage/ finish area, and please, please put all the finishing bits & bobs all in the goody bag next time - will speed things up no end! As others have said, results page isn't too great, no club recognition. Support was fantastic all the way around - Brum did us proud.

In short: Tough but fun
In full: Great atmosphere on a drizzly grey August evening. 300+ turnout meant plenty of room on the paths, but enough company on the way round through the woods and fields. Don't underestimate the hills, but appreciate the views from the top over the Carrick Roads - one of the best in Cornwall (though I am biased). Some minor issues with water, but as already stated, the organiser has recognised this. Not cheap, but the National Trust will have had their cut too. Take it for what it is, a challenging but fun, yomp through the woods.

In short: Tougher than you think, but love it!
In full: Not much I can add that differs from what others have said, but loved this last year (despite being my PW) and even more so this time around - now I knew how sapping those bridges were to be I was more prepared. Some doubt over the accuracy of the mile markers, but at least they were there this year - loved the human element of them and the narrowboats for water stations. Agree that a couple of bottled water stops would be helpful, although walking through the water stations was welcome relief for a few seconds. A must for all regular Birmingham canal-runners and visitors alike!

In short: Lovely course, the people of Bath should be proud, but several organisational niggles.
In full: Delayed start in 15C heat meant I was sunburnt and thirsty before the off. Start pens weren't clear and couldn't get to ours until the waves started moving. No queue for baggage tent (probably because it was warm so people didn't mind ditching outer layers early). Plentiful drinks stations, but could do with being on both sides of the road to avoid having to slow down and/or cross too many people. Needs to be better/clearer instruction about keeping to one side of the route to allow 2nd lappers - we were shouted at to keep to the right when the leader was coming up on the right! Maybe just divide the road from the start? Hit a bottleneck and had to stop dead about 1.5 miles in which was unacceptable. Funnelling after the finish was terrible (stationary) and I was getting goose pimples before even getting the goody bag (cranberry sauce? in March? swap it for a bag of crisps!) Marathon-photos.com are rubbish, can't even find a photo after trawling through all the unidentified ones. Good job I do that many races and it wasn't my first, special race. However, the people of Bath themselves should be very, very proud of the way they filled the streets, provided music, cakes, smiles and cheers. I'll probably be back as it's still a nice run.

In short: Challenging but worth it
In full: First time to this race, knew there was a hill and held back to start with but it still got me. Will know better next year! Great organisation, such friendly marshals, and could never be described as a dull race...

In short: Can't remember those hills being there when I was at uni!
In full: Was really looking forward to this one, but thanks to factors of my own making, I struggled to get round yesterday in one piece. HOWEVER, this was a great race, lots of friendly support, and fab to run on my old stomping ground. The 'undulations' on a good day would have been fun, the wind was always in my face, but next year I'm going to beat them! Oh, and still managed a PB! :-)
