In short: Fantastic setting, long hills up but also down again.
In full: A new race and as it was classed as a fun run a lot of first timers and families, this made for a friendly atmosphere. A slow start as a bit narrow but after the first hill a wonderful long downhill with lovely views. The race soon spaced out with cheery shouts from spectators and marshalls. I know it was for charity but the medal was poor and the goody bag was not goody at all but thats the only gripe really. Well done for a first running of the event.

In short: Another great Event, huge thanks to Patrick and Chris for all your hard work putting this together.
In full: Back again for the third year this event has grown in to a mega experience. I love the atmosphere and the organisation and facilities are brilliant. The course is still challenging and that last cheeky hill gets me every time, but running along the ridge in the middle of the night is magical. Where else would you have marshals in the middle of woods at 3am huddled around camp fires, great stuff.

Our Toonie Express male team managed a 3rd place again and our Ladies team and male pair also did us proud. :)

In short: Excellent race as usual from Ropsley Road runners.
In full: I did the 6 mile option and found it well marked. My only moan is the out and back road section in the middle but it wouldn't stop me coming back again next year.

In short: Mud Mud glorious mud.
In full: Brilliant Day, Not really a race for me more of a endurance test !! Lots of deep slippery mud, lots of water and those lovely hills. The down hills in the quarry were especially playful and just had to go for it. Very well organised from the parking to the finish and a very friendly Race. Well done Mucky Races.

In full: Did this last year and enjoyed it, this year was certainly shorter but still tough and enjoyable. I agree with the other comments the car parking was awful we queued to get in and It took us an hour to get out and back to the road. We were lucky in that we had a 4x4 some looked as though they were going to have real trouble. All in all a good race slightly spoiled by trying to get too many runners in.

In short: Great race
In full: A bit of a rush to get there in time and the entrance to car park was very slow making us even later. The race was very good though, most enjoyable running through the scary woods, and a fast downhill finish. And what Toffee apples I didn't see any, Loved the medal and the banana.

In short: Another fine race and a family show, fun for everyone.
In full: A few of us from Toonie Express enjoyed the race and the show. The uphill grass finish always catches me out even if I try to save some energy for it. Got a small T shirt which is a bonus but no juice this year at the finish which was a shame it makes a change from water, We will be back next year.

In short: Fantastic first running of this event.
In full: Easy Parking right next to the Start and free camping all weekend in the beautiful Cannock chase Woods, Plenty of toilets and hot showers. I did the 10k race on the Saturday which was challenging but well marked and marshalled.Sunday was a rest day for me and the dog watching our two man team compete in the 6 hour race. Well done all.
