In short: PB getter maybe not but this is an 'event' as well as a run and as that and also for the feel good, support and general atmosphere this is tremendous
In full: I agree with some comments re the size of the field if you are looking at a Half PB then there may be better out there. But really this is an 'event' as well as a run and as that and also for the feel good, support and general atmosphere this is tremendous. I don't think there's a lot to be done about it but it's obvious most people are either optimistic or downright taking the proverbial with predicted times and thats a shame, but still the start organisation this year was very good (even if because of the weaving past people you end up doing half marathon and then some:-)Great event great organisation for the field size and great day.
