In short: Very well organised, didn't enjoy the hills!
In full: A really good start to the year. The one mile hill (I measured it) was challenging as I'm not used to any sort of incline but a really good work out and far more interesting than a pancake flat road course. Bonus was getting to see inside the hockey's changing room at Epsom.

In short: A great day out, nice course and atmosphere but the organisation could be improved.
In full: Ridiculous queues to get into the car parks - 45 minutes to go half a mile. And poor signage, there were hundreds if marshals in the science park car park who could have been better utilised on the road outside.
The start was a bit of a non event, due to parking issues arrived late as did many others, lots of people wandering around aimlessly. I missed the mile markers from 3 to 7, and it was a real scrum at the finish to get medals and t shirts.
The course went through varied scenery, the Mini car plant car park not as exciting as it the pre event literature had made out. From 7 miles onwards the course went through parks and along the river, and whilst narrow in places there were some great pockets of support. And the atmosphere generally couldn't be faulted and the bands playing along the course was a great touch.
Overall it felt like a new event, with lots of rough edges but if the organisers take note of what makes some of the established races a success they have all the ingredients in Oxford for a great half.

In short: Friendly event with real community feel to it. Great scenery.
In full: Despite overdosing on Belgian Lager the previous night - one of the dangers of a 1pm start I suppose - really enjoyed it. Being from London I found it really friendly, also was easy to get to, the chance to warm up at a venue where cricketing history was made was a bonus, decent support on the way round, great scenery and overall good organisation. And excellent weather. Recommend it to everyone.

In short: A fantastic, inspiring event and great to be a part of
In full: OK the scenery in places is not the greatest but if you want to see all the sights I would suggest an open-top bus tour. The atmosphere and crowd were tremendous and will live long in the memory. Made me proud to be a Londoner. The organisation was superb for such a large event. Small negative is people using their phones on the course otherwise a marvelous day that will be hard to beat.

In short: Enjoyable friendly event
In full: Nice scenic course through villages and farmland. Very flat. Only negative would be that it was a bit of a bottleneck at the start otherwise a good day out.

In short: Hassle free, very well organised.
In full: My first half and enjoyed it thoroughly. Varied course through City Centre, University campus, residential streets and parkland. I was a bit apprehensive about the hills as I do all my running on the flat but they were very manageable. Plenty of water and Lucozade available en route and I thought the post-finish organisation was excellent - chip removed, goody bag, medal and foil cape etc all sorted out in about 30 seconds.

Thanks to everyone involved
