In short: One of the best 10k races - shame it's near the end of the Calendar
In full: I have completed this race for the last ? years, previous years I have beaten my PB year on year. This was the first run that I have done with my 6 month old son William. I pushed him around in the new baby jogger and was gobsmacked by the amount of support I got from the Marshalls and other runners, we managed 46.40 so we were really pleased - Thanks to everyone for their support - apart from one - you know who you are !!

In short: Did the Full Marathon - First Half a Carnival , Second Half deserted !
In full: This was the first year that I had done the Full Nottingham Marathon. Previous years I have wondered what it is like to get in the right hand lane and go again - enjoyed the first half but second half was not just tiredness - no crowds and running up and down the rowing lake around road cones is not my idea of a great route, come on Nottingham you can do better - sort a decent second half out and what's the Silver medal for ? Gold for a half ? Silver for the Full !?!?!?!

In short: Hilly and Rainy !!!
In full: Really enjoyed the race, well organised as expected. Not the most scenic route but quite a challenge in places. Will do it next year.

In short: Great Race, fantastic finish, great route - not enough toilets !!
In full: First time I had done this race, great to run through the city, others mention the fact that other city runs have now gone into parks etc, great to run in the city and through subways / car park !Water Stations good, maybe small bottles would make it better ? mileage markers should be better - missed a few for some reason - surprised with new PB thought course was quite hilly in places but nothing too heavy - see you next year !!

In short: Good Scenic Run , need more people on water stations
In full: Great run, shame about the start which was a bottleneck on wet boogy grass following the weather - but not your fault !! Nice undulating hills and nice touch with half mile markers. Some confusion at the water stations though with not enough people able to "present" cups this caused confusion and some uncalled for nastiness from some runners.
Will definately be back next year, will tell all about it - Would be nice to get a T shirt at the end though !

In short: Champion Chip Timing PLEASE - people should NOT que to finish a race !!
In full: I did this race in 2006 and thought that it was poorly organised, the admin prior to the event is fine and no problems experienced either year. This year I waited at the 40 min + sign which was a good addition to last year with the various time catagories listed in order to prevent the chaos of the previous year. However this year everyone waited a little way back from the start not wanting to claim to be an elite runner, the organisers should have had people walk right up to the line prior to the start but this was not done. The event NEEDS a staggered start with Champion Chip timing next year. It was totally ridiculous that whilst waiting at the finish my friend had to que to get over the finish line with one poor lady taking everyones numbers - sort the start and finish out National Trust and you've got yourself a fantastic race, needs chip timing even if more expensive entry fee. Use the park better, the start / finish needs to be back nearer the main building areas with a wide open finish area. There could ven be family activities taking place to keep young kids happy. Come on National Trust more effort needed !! you're a NATIONAL trust not the local scout troop !!
