In short: ACE RACE
In full: Hillier than expected but the course was lovely and scenic. Race HQ was ideal, organisation excellent and marshals were supportive and encouraging. Many thanks to everyone at Trentham and anyone else who organised or contributed in any way. If you didn't do this race you missed a treat. Will definitely be back next year.

In full: Definite PB course. Lovely medal. Disappointed with the registration area. Once you'd collected your number you were asked to leave the building and wait outside - it was cold but fortunately dry. Not enough portaloos but toilets at 20p a go were close enough by. Goody bag was disappointing, as I said medal is lovely, the socks - what are they all about - they may fit some of the men but ladies they'll bury us. In addition a snack bar - nice but that was all and for £20 I thought it was a bit steep. Marshalls were great - thanks. Would do the race again if only for it's PB potential.

In short: Perfect way to spend a Sunday morning!!!!
In full: This race just doesn't get any easier but is always well organised and enjoyable. Technical tee-shirts are great. Brilliantly organised, even managed to get the weather just right for running. Thanks Mick and everyone else. involved.

In short: Sack the race director!!!!!!
In full: Parking a nightmare - access to car parks closed at 7 a.m but appear to have opened later. Absolutely awful start, people mixed in the pens - free for all and extremely dangerous. Finish was horrendous, never had to queue to finish a race before. When you've run 13.2 miles and are on for a p.b. it's soul destroying to have to queue to cross the finish line. Despite this somehow managed a p.b. Thank you though to the people of Birmingham for your support, it was great. Would I do this race again - not unless I get a public apology from the race director - heads should roll.

In short: Hard 10k but fantastic sense of achievement when finished
In full: Never ran this race before so was totally unprepared for the hills, and the wet, boggy, mud soaked ground. Having said that I loved every minute of it. The marshalls were great; supportive and encouraging. Dreading seeing the photos, Mr Dale strategically placed at the top of a hill everytime and yes I walked but I did my best and I loved it. No chance of a PB but I did a faster time than I thought I would. Would higly recommend this race to anyone wanting a challenge - beginners rise to the challenge you won't regret it. Thanks to the marshalls and organiser - you were brill.

In short: Brilliant!!!!
In full: Very well organised, 'killer hill' gets easier every year, marshalls very encouraging and supportive. Lovely atmosphere and tea and cakes available at the finish. A race which everyone should do - proceeds to Cancer Research - another good reason to run. Christmas Pud to all finishers, much better than a tee-shirt!
