In short: Such a great event to be a part of a team in - true sense of achievement at the end
In full: Really good fun, despite the pain and stiffness today. Couldn't believe the speed some people were still going at towards the - thankfully others were struggling as much as I was!

In short: Good fun for a family event
In full: All good fun, some of the hills were a bit challenging for the young uns. Single adults running around to get points - what were you trying to do? Did you tell all your mates that you "beat the children"???

In short: Ouch those hills hurt
In full: My first XC half marathon and really testing. Time was way off my PB. Little bit disappointed with the bottlenecks in the first couple of miles which left you standing and waiting but otherwise a good race

In short: They didn't tell me about the hill at 21 miles
In full: Everyone talks about the hill at 17 miles but that was fine. The surprise at 21 miles (though shorter) nearly killed me.
Glorious scenery for my first marathon

In short: Need to think about bag drop facilities....
In full: Bag drop facilities are (in my opinion) essential and lack of these was a big downer.
Otherwise a nice enough run although the hills were harder than I expected (maybe I am just a wimp...)

In short: That hill is very long.....
In full: first time I've done this. The first hill is long and gets steeper (and you do it twice) so testing but fun all the same, the downs are spectacular (the town less so!)
