In short: A classic summer cross-country feel to this race In full: The best bit of racing the train is somehow it changes the atmosphere - it's runners against the train, not against each other! (Well, mostly). And crossing over the bridge on the way out just as the engine goes under it made the race for me. Date of review: January 24, 2005

In short: Can't believe I waited 17 years to do it again! In full: A tough day out on the Downs, with places for runners, joggers and walkers - and a very laid-back atmosphere. Ran the whole thing without looking at Mr.Watch once - and considering the distance-markers numbered one ("About half-way"), this was about scenery, slopes and sea-air, not minutes and seconds. A very satisfying race! Date of review: January 24, 2005
