In short: great location !!
In full: Good race, great location,m with plenty of shade which was useful as the weather was pretty warm!!
As with previous comments there was a danger of crossing other runners in the second half of the race, as well as trying to avoid cyclists, dogs and walkers!!
Thought it was a bit pricey compared to the Ealing race, which we did after this one, but did enjoy the experience overall.

In short: great race - very enjoyable
In full: i was very impressed with this race - organized very well, great location - pity it was so hot though - and compared to the Richmond River Run, which I did earlier that morning, much better value for money.

In short: little bit hilly - and I was only doing the lhalf!!
In full: didn't realize quite how hilly this course was going to be - but a great challenge anyway. Very well organized, although, as with most races, there was a shortage of toilets, but thats pretty much expected !!

In short: interesting race!!
In full: Well apart from not getting the distance right, the organization was very good. Few quibbles though - getting to the baggage area from pier was along a pretty narrow stretch of pedestrian path, especially as there were various tents placed there on one side, and the fencing to separate the start area. As there were also many non runners milling about, it took ages to drop off my bag. Organizers might want to consider changing the location of the baggage area in future to make it easier to get to.Also, and this isn't the fault of the race organizers, the rail company didn't seem to go out of their way to make the route down to Brighton particularly passenger friendly - too few trains and not enough carriages - don't seem to have this problem when Brighton have the marathon !!

In short: Weather was great, the organization very good - good array of freebies too which is always welcome!!That beach section is either getting longer each year or my mind is playing tricks on me!! Would definitely recommend it.
In full: And unlike the Brighton half this year, was the correct distance for a half marathon which is always a bonus!!

In short: great race - shame there weren't more toilets !!
In full: very impressed with the course, and the organization was excellent, but as with last year's race, the queue for the toilets in the Leisure Centre was pretty long - there didnlt seem to be anywhere else to go !!
How about some portaloos next year?

In short: wonderful weather, excellent race
In full: as the numbers taking part weren't that high, there was little bunching at the start, so got away pretty smoothly. The turn about half way was well worked out, none of that running around a bench or bollard, so didn't have to slow down.Very impressed!!

In short: not impressed with the course layout
In full: for whatever reason , instead of two laps of the entire lake , this race was four lengths of one side of the lake - disappointing . And although the race was supposed to start at 2pm , there were people still queueing at 2pm to enter ON THE DAY - which seems a bit daft to me - why not close that an hour or two before the race - and because of that , and people collecting their numbers ,and the toilet queues - the race started late .So that was pretty disappointing , and not being able to run the whole of the lake did make the day not as good as I`d hoped
