In short: Venue was great, marshalls were brilliant (especially the girls @ 24 miles). Support from fellow forumites was enthusiastic & very welcome. The course was well marked and pretty flat. Weather was glorious. Managed a PB by 17 minutes.

In short: Cracking event
In full: 2nd time I've run this one & enjoyed the event very much. Beware anyone considering that the race starts at 12.45 in July - fair chance it will be hot. Indeed it was very hot this year & despite the vast majority of the route being in the forest, there was precious little shade.

In short: Nice setting, multiple laps got a bit tedious. Start & turning points could have been better. Nice medal & nice cakes. Though not as flat as I imagined (1 hill only - but climbed 4 times due to laps) I managed a PB.
