In short: For a first attempt? Very good job!!
In full: I think considering this was the first marathon to be held around the city of Brighton I think the organisers should be very pleased.
The park and ride was quick and easy, the course was very flat, no demanding hills, plenty of water stations, powerade etc.
The negatives? No wind (although I'm sure that's not Brighton's fault!), a small delayed started kept the nervs going and there was a lack of toilets in Preston park. The only part of the course I didn't like was the 19-23 miles part around the industrial port area, that was a little boring and quiet!
It was my first ever marathon, the crowd were fantastic, great for a quick time. I think this event can only get better. Recommend to all!

In short: Deserved to be named Best Half Marathon in the UK!
In full: A little too hot for me on this run, however it was organised brilliantly, had fantastic crowd support, well marshalled, volunteers did an excellent job and cannot complain at all. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience and believe there is a PB potential for all runners. Glad to have taken part as always!

In short: Pleasant run, will grow over the next couple of years!
In full: I thought it was a nice, pleasant run considering its only in its 5th year. Enough runners to make it worthwhile, although the hill between 2-3 miles is a killer! Lovely views along the coast and potential for PB. I think it will get better over the coming years and I would probably do it again.

In short: Great experience but not for the serious runner
In full: I thought the organisation was fairly average. Metro trains were impossible to get on, and transport links are fairly distance. However, it does have a great atmosphere and its worth it once in your lifetime. But for the slightly competitive people like me, there are just too many runners to make any ground and found I was well short of my PB. At times I felt it was the Great North Jog. Summary, defo do it once but only for the experience.

In short: Being my local half, I think its pretty good! Crowd support is immense!
In full: With my perfect running conditions I beat last years time by 10 minutes so Im pleased as! Even though I didnt use any of the facilities, I do believe they could try a little better to space things out a bit more! Afterall, 5000 people on a small stretch of road is not a great idea! Crowd support was as good as I ever witnessed at a half marathon and will definatley be back for my third run next year! Little improvement on the organisation and it will be even better! I can see why it has be called the best Half in the UK, and could easily be made by far the best with some small improvements! Bring on 2009!!
