In short: Great atmosphere, not the mental trial I'd feared, very well organised.
In full: Mention a track marathon and the immediate thought is 105 laps of stunning boredom....well think again. Great support, fluids and fuel on hand every 400m, a perfectly flat resilient track, music, cheering, dancing it had it all. But most importantly you get to share the experience with the whole field and even see the winner finish. If you start counting them there's as many if not more positives than negatives. Well done all who organised, supported and took part.

In short: Different, very different and definitely a special experience.
In full: I don't know of any other races like this, great fun just because it's so different. Overall well organised by happy helpful vounteers, may need to get a little better with signage and race information around the start and finish areas if it grows into something bigger. The terrain and scenery is unique but dosn't vary much for the 13 miles! I'd guess the bay guides probably have as many words for sand as the eskimos do for snow, the feel under foot frequently changing.

In short: Challenging but the scenery helps as does the fantastic marshalls
In full: Brilliant organisation and support from the marshalls. Small field may put off first timers at this distance (no where to hide) but don't let it everyone's very friendly. Very pleasant route with some lovely buildings, villages and views. The hill after the mile 9 marker came as a bit of a shock but at least I stopped thinking about distance for a while. Nice T shirt, one you'll want to wear not just clean the car with it. Many thanks to the organisers.

In short: Good organisation and atmosphere, slightly hilly course
In full: Excellent organisation, good atmosphere, plenty of helpful and encouraging marshalls. The turns and ups and downs keep the route interesting without being over challenging.

In short: well organised, quite roads, much better than staying in to watch the tellyy
In full: One small gripe and I noticed a similar comment in 2006 - the marshalls as you entered the sports ground at the end didn't indicate the way and this is about the only place it isn't obvious.
