In short: This one was tough! In full: My first attempt at this type of event and I found it really hard going, very muddy and boggy for the first seventeen miles!! but then again what did I expect in the middle of February. Reached Robin Hoods Bay to find that the coastal route back had been closed for safety reasons, so we returned by the disused railway line, I had to walk the last two miles, as by now I felt like I was wearing lead trainers. A friendly event with a mixture of walkers and runners, map skills are required. A special thank you goes to the chap who pointed me in the right direction more than once! At the end I said "never again" but.................who knows? Date of review: February 17, 2010
