In short: OK event, could have done with more marshals. Dismal goody bag. A water bottle and snap band the only real contents. Bananas and Clif bars at end a nice touch though :)
In full: Having read the reviews of last years event I'm not convinced the organisers had taken the comments on board. The route was mildly challenging with a couple of hills to climb and a pleasant downhill section over the last third. I registered on the day and luckily brought along the right money although the on the day charge wasn't indicated on the event website. The route crossed three public roads which were open to traffic and should therefore have been marshalled. Comments on last years event noted the fact that the cattle grids were not covered in Campbell Park an omission which was repeated this year. Race HQ on the day were very pleasant and helpful which to an extent compensated for these shortcomings. Very well organised chip timing and orderly start / finish with a good atmosphere. Dull 'goody' bag containing leaflets, a money off voucher and a cheap snap band and bottle. Overall - pretty average. I'd do it again only because it's nearby.

In short: Cracking scenery and some killer hills!
In full: Really enjoyed this event and would do it again. Only slight criticism was queuing for water halfway - need more staff on the water station. Also for the elite runners (of which I'm not one) there was a problem with the marking of the course which meant the fastest few went the wrong way and only completed 8km. Expect more arrows and marshals next time! Overall a really varied course that made the best of the available terrain and some great views to be enjoyed. Post race goodies were plentiful too.

In short: Fast and fun two lap race.
In full: First year running this one for me, but it was recommended by several friends. All round a good experienced. Well organised, marshalled and marked, plenty of (too many?) water stations, lots of people lining the course cheering you on. Great goody bag and a medal at the end. Great atmosphere despite the wet weather. Will be back next year.
