In short: Grizzly weather made this event grizzly hard, but great atmosphere, scenary, superb marshalls. I'll be back
In full: This was the 8th time I have run the Grizzly, and it was probably the hardest, mainly because of the mud (particularly at the back of the field where I run!), and weather,... oh and the usual many hills, beach, bog, stream crossings, hills! There is something about this event which really grabs you. Many people return year after year, if they can get a place that is as the event filled up within a couple of hours of opening. I hope to be back next year, hopefully after doing the hill training I keep promise myself I will do!

In short: A brilliant but hard race. I will be back next year.
In full: This was the 25th anniversary of the Grizzly and the sun came out in celebration. It is a hard course with many hills, beach, and the notorious bog, but has an atmosphere like no other event. It is run through some spectacular scenary too.

In short: Great atmosphere, scenery and marshalls. Really enjoyed it .
In full: It was my first time doing this event. It lived up to my expectations, though the weather made the climb over the hill in the last few miles somewhat "interesting"! Shame the food seemed to have run out or blown away for us slower runners. The marashalls and arrendants at the water stations were brilliant - so cheerful in such horrible conditions.

In short: A lovely run that I hope to do again.
In full: V scenic run with some testing hills in places. You had to watch your step as parts were very rutted with stones. Shame the advertised gels were absent - I would have taken more if I had known there were to be none. I really enjoyed it but was glad I was running with a friend else it would have been very lonely.

In short: Tough challenge, but brilliant atmosphere..
In full: The marshalls were second to none. They must have been freezing but also had a ready smile. It is the hardest run I have done but it has an atmosphere all of its own.

In short: It was my first time and I shall be back. Shame about the moved marker which led to me and many taking a detour. Otherwise excellent.
