In short: not too bad
In full: a nice training run along the coast.not much atmosphere, but nice to have some support when crossing the finish line.this was provided by some enthusiastic friends/relatives of the runners-so thanks to them.friendly marshals.

In short: the hardest thing I have ever done
In full: fantastic race (!).As a complete novice to the ultra scene, I loved it, apart from the last 10 miles that is..feet were trashed. Fabulous atmosphere, brilliant marshals, great organisation, cannot recommend it highly enough.

In short: not really edinburgh,but great local support
In full: rapid exit from edinburgh, fantastic support from the locals - very welcome showers on a very hot day. Goes without saying about the bus back to the start. Please take note for next year and will do it again.

In short: excellent race,lovely scenery along the way,lots of ups,but some downs as well.Fantastic goody bad, I got loads of chocolate in mine!!hope to do it again next year.
