In short: Managed 2nd place, aiming for first next year
In full: My third running of a unique and very well run friendly event, once again a great atmosphere, free tea and pumpkin soup. Will be back every year they do this race.

In short: Well run low key event
In full: First running of this - managed to bring my PB down to 36.17 or so - but it is not a PB friendly course - quite undulating.

Pros
- Good Value
- Nice finish funnel
- Good clean air on the course
- KM markers
- Medal!

Cons
- Had a water station pull their hand back so I had to turn around and run back to get the water, not what you want at sub 6 m/m!
- Some of the mrshalls seemed like they didn't want to be there, no signs of encouragement, or even acknowledgement, especially at the 8k marker
- Almost went head first into cars within 100m as the roads are not closed
- Better start PR systems needed, or just a megaphone

In short: A great low-key race, with smooth running.
In full: Once again Sole Sisters host a great race, with good support and a nice mostly-closed course. Will be back next year...

In short: Hot, undulating course - Good marshalling and good price
In full: My second running of this event, managed to knock out a 1.23 over what is a playful course, it is not hilly, but it is nowhere near flat & fast.

A few water stations helped, never saw the fabled energy drinks that were mentioned.

The initial street loop to make up the distance is a bit dull, but the country side part is lovely.

In short: A very different great fun race experience
In full: My second year of running this, managed to improve to 5th from 8th last year with slightly firmer terrain.

Great organisation, just could do with more marking for tight corners, lost a few seconds going straight on when it was a left turn at one junction, but that's my only gripe.

In short: Actually quite a dull route, but good spots of support
In full: Maybe it's a sad thing, but I am more interested these days in how the twists and turn of a course affect the time I'm running. As nice as the flora and fauna look I'm always interested in how the gradients and turns affect my running.

Windsor is an interesting one - There's some good stretches to get into a groove, but also quite a low of ups topped with a tight turn into a down.

The course feels like it's mapped out just for the distance, not to be conducive for good running.. The danger of looped course as well means I was overtaking people far before their second lap, and I wasn't sure of what controls stopped people from just cutting down the last mile after lap 1.

Also, I don't expect water cups for £25, I expect bottles - but the lucozade is a nice touch. Maybe a touch expensive for the race, but a popular race can charge a premium.

May be back, might not.

In short: Great new course layout
In full: Great new layout of the course, destroyed my PB now there's a lot less fiddly turns. Water and energy drink at many points. Great event, if a little expensive.
