In short: Well organised event and good value!
In full: Enjoyed this race and the excellent organisation made it very easy to take part. My only cause for complaint was that considering the heat and 40 years of being on the same date please sort out the water stations. One water station at 1 mile and then the same water station at 5 & 9 is not enough and/or not in the right place. I didn't need a drink at 1 mile but did at 3! Sort it out guys?!?!?

In short: Definitely be back next year to make my hatrick!
In full: Great fun yet again, and prefered this years course. Might regret saying it but liked the deeper water obstacle near the start. Hills still a killer especially on second lap.

I'll be back

In short: Excellent organisation yet again.......
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the race a again this year despite a 'nippy' start. Excellent organisation yet again and a welcoming hot drink at the finish. Great running conditions with only about 10-15 minutes of light rain (can't complain to the organisers about that). Very minor note to the organisers is the bottle neck to the mens changing area and toilets is not eased by the stalls selling running gear.

Thanks again, see you next year! Maybe another pb?

In short: Really enjoyable race....
In full: Organisation on the day was excellent but beforehand was p**s poor!! Get a website to keep runners updated. Post chips out with numbers instead of making us all turn up an hour before in the freezing cold!!

Thanks to all the fantastic marshalls though!!!

In short: Yet again forgot about the hills
In full: Really enjoyed this yet again but yet again, despite being from Nottingham and virtually running past my own front door, I forgot quite how challenging the course is!!

Great organisation as usual, brilliant support and great finish!!

Very minor critisicsm (which is no fault of the organisers) is that PLEASE PLEASE don't stand at the front in the sub 1.30 ish section if you have no intention and no hope of finishing the race in even sup 3 hours!!! It's very annoying trying to weave around 100's of people at the start of the race....

In short: Yet again.....fantastic race with great organisation
In full: As a relatively new runner I did the swift half last year and thoroughly enjoyed the race. At the finish line I decided that if I hadn't yet done a marathon then the white peak would be my first! I was not dissapointed....Fantastic scenery, proper British weather and Bacon sandwiches to finish...what more does a marathon runner need (I can call my self one of those now!). To top off the perfect day I finished sub 3.30 (3.27) which was my aim and my friend won the whole thing!!!

Thanks again Matlock AC...I'll be back!

In short: Great race with fantastic support
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Fantastic finish in Pride park with brilliant support...

Only complaint is that if you're going to bother to organise sectioned start areas you need to make sure people stick to them. Other than that great organisation.
