In short: Great race on door step but bit pigged off with runners in Orange wave walking at 3k In full: realy enjoyed this ..will always support races on my door step but like many others have said costs is pretty expensive. Even though people starting in Orange wave where slower than me did manage to get a PB so very prud of myself. Hvae doen this race since it started and had trained for the last 400 metres uphill so this paid off - though race photos not taken at the best places ..mainly on Commercial st ..not going to make much money off those I reckon. In short: Far hillier than reviews said not PB potential for me In full: Good organisation ..nice to finish on grass rather than concrete .. found the runners mainly club runners than any 10k I have done previously and not very friendly.. too interested in themselves . Expected hills but the one between 4/5 and near the finish real killer .wont be doing this again though beofre anybody says anything back ..i like a challenge and after taking up running only 4 years ago and taking 61 mins can now do a 10k in 50 mins and that was the percy pud. In short: Home town run In full: Nice that Sheffield is part of the Great run series and the course is as flat as you can get in Sheffield. First down hill stretch a bit tight and had to really watch out for falling over runners feet.Very short on spectactors buT on positive side very good for PB and good to go under the great Hillsborough south stand and excellant finish. Very well organised and will support again being a proud yorkshireman. Date of review: September 9, 2008
