In short: Fun event, should be a pb In full: It was a fun idea, which they might have made more of on the day - I only identified a handful of other "UK" runners by their kit, though clearly there were many more. The marshalls were cheery and it was all very well organised, an extra water stop would have helped as it turned into a hot day. The official time checking facility at the finish line was very impressive and the grounds were lovely - wished I'd packed a picnic! A friendly crowd of runners. Date of review: May 4, 2009

In short: Satisfyingly challenging In full: Wonderful marshalls - BIG thank you to all, especially the very helpfully encouraging man at the top of the hill, makes such a difference. Did better than I expected, the hills make you feel like you've worked for it. Really enjoyed the race. Date of review: March 1, 2009

In short: Complete shambles In full: With such a great venue, it is hard to understand how the organisation could be so poor. I had hoped for a glimpse of a course map before the event, on the day or a briefing before the start....luckily I'm slow enough to just follow everyone else. The distance markers around a lapped course were at best confusing. The reception was a muddle - help yourself to a shirt, queue for loos etc. The fact that everyone got behind the start mats seemed more due to sheep-like behaviour of us runners, than clear direction from the warm up (?) act. What a shame..... Date of review: February 15, 2009

In short: Slick organisation, big hill, great race. In full: Yes, that was a tough hill alright...great organisation though, plenty of soldiers in hi-viz everywhere, marshalling the race and parking (poor things!)and giving loads of encouragement. Great set up; will be back. Date of review: November 2, 2008

In short: Fantastic intro for the tri-curious In full: I still haven't come down from yesterday's high. I was terribly unsure about the whole thing the night before, but excellent organisation soon eased nerves. The whole event was planned beautifully with lots of great marshalls. The routes were wonderful: a couple of hills on the bike and some clues in the place names for the run ("Upper" Clatford and Barrow Hill)meant that although perfect for a complete first timer there was enough challenge to provide a real sense of achievement at the end. Utterly brilliant, well done all at Andover Tri. Date of review: July 14, 2008

In short: Fantastic event In full: My first Half Marathon, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience; thanks and congrats to the TW Harriers for putting on such a great race. The organisation was outstanding, the info booklet really helpful with course profile and route description, and all the marshalls, water stations etc were brilliant. Dame Kelly Holmes at the start, and fruit at the finish - couldn't ask for more!! The hills were long, but I feel I've achieved something. Have been buzzing since I crossed the finish. In short: Upbeat atmosphere & glorious weather In full: Only my second 10k and really enjoyed it; terrain varied from almost frozen to very squidgy around Old Sarum - loved the finish in the FC stadium! Date of review: February 17, 2008
