In short: Scenic race, great atmosphere and a few hills! In full: Full road marathon on closed roads. Organistation flawless. Large numbers of marshalls and crowds at towns who were all (without exception) cheerfull and enthusiastic. Views fantastic. No chance of PB unless you are an Olympian at hills. However, this is in my view the best UK marathon as a complete package. Date of review: June 11, 2012

In short: hard as nails race with glorious costal scenery and great organisation- throughly recommend it In full: We ran over hard sand, soft sand, shingle, flint, chalk, road, grass and sandunes. A very tough but fabulous 15 miles- the sun shone the whole way with a lovely sea breeze to help keep us cool. Beautiful views along the Kent coast during this well organised and friendly run. Goody bag and t- shirt at the finish and friendly marshalls, boy scouts and firemen cheered us on throughout. Thoroughly recommend this race to all those who enjoy challenging and interesting multi terrain races. Date of review: September 19, 2011

In short: Terrible organisation on what is usually a good course In full: This race has become far too big, and the terrible organisation of Sundays race did nothing to improve this. Despite starting relatively near the front of the race ( no pace pens evident!) I was caught up in crowds for the first mile. Chaotic start / finish areas- Queued for 25 minutes to check my bag to find at the end of the race that the bag area was unmanned and insecure- I may as well have left my bag lying on the pavement. This is a really nice course in a really nice city but the size of the race and terrible organisation totally ruined the race for me - I won't be running it again. Date of review: February 24, 2010
