In short: Well done Bedford Harriers !!
In full: Second time of doing this race, got a PB even with the hills.

Loads of keen and enthusiastic marshalls even in the cold.

Traffic a little bit hairy in Cranfield especially down the big hill where a coach got a bit close for comfort, even though we were running single file.

Well done to all concerned, great organisation ran very smoothly.

Will be back again next year !

In short: A well organsed and marshalled race
In full: Third year of running my local race, just sneaked under last year's time. It's a tough course, and was hot. Well marshalled and clear route.
Managed to persuade both kids to do the kids race and they really enjoyed it - thanks to AFF for adding this in which really made it an exceelent day !

In short: PB by 2 mins !!!
In full: I did this race last year so knew what to expect re the start, low turnout of spectators etc.
It's the flattest half I've run - ok the underpasses are a bit of a grind - but nothing compared to St Albans !
Where was the clock at the finish line ?

In short: 13 mile struggle !
In full: Combination of the heat and hills was a bit of a shock to the system and I ended up walking some bits.
Ended up parking in Waitrose (luckily no ticket) as the marshals didn't seem to know where to send me.
Once at the course - completely different. Very professional set up - excellent PA system and announcer did a great job. Loads of enthusiastic marshals, and numerous water stops well supported.
And the ice lolly at the end was a godsend !

In short: Well organised, testing run
In full: My second year doing this (must have forgotten the hills). Knocked 1 1/2 mins of last year, even with a lengthy stop at 7k (no further details necessary !). Well organised by AFF, well marhalled and will return again next year, hopefully for another pb !

In short: Apart from the start, a well organised, well marshalled race
In full: Really need to sort out the first 1-2 miles - as it was absolute carnage with falls, argy-bargy, etc. Either should be re-routed on roads for the first mile or so or staggered. Apart from that, plenty of water stations and marshals giving good encouragement. Nice medal !

In short: Tough hills ! Well organised and good freebies
In full: Hills were a bit of a challenge - seemed to be a rollercoaster last 4k ! Well marshalled clear course. Well done to AFF. And it didn't rain !

In short: My first half - not as bad as I was expecting. Well organised, good fun. Where's my medal !!
In full: Really enjoyed the run, chatted to a few people on the way.
Hills weren't as bad as I expected.
Hail stones a bit of a nightmare, as was the traffic on the downhill stretch.
Well done to all the marshalls for their support in the conditions
Bit disappointed by the queues for drinks and food at the end. And lack of freebies.
