In short: Great Yorkshirerun or Sandall Castle
In full: No contest - why pay for a race at a ridiculous price when you can go to sandall and enjoy a different race. Well orgainsed from car park, marshalls etc. Start is a bit hectic to the first path and few places where you just can't overtake. Very welcoming, with a good PA system you can actually hear.

Good race so if you are bored with sheffield route try this one.

In short: If you haven't done it - why not !!
In full:
slowest time for awhile but it didn't really matter, good atmosphere, plenty of spce at starte & end, well organised and marshalled, mix terrain.

Just wish marker were in 1k rather than miles.

Definately go back next and would recommend it as it is different and rewarding

In short: 2nd year now and even persuaded my partner to run this
In full: Just about right numbers so don't share too much of the good stuff as more will want to race it !!! Well organised, second lot of toilets helps. Overall a good race.

In short: Firs time but recommended
In full: Lot hilly than expected but hey a bit boring if it was just flat. Overall worth the trip and whilst not a pb course and challenign in parts, it was off road so actually quite good for beginners. go on do it next year.

In short: A little bit of wind and yes those slight inclines...deceiving
In full: Couldn't really knock it. Age old problem, not enough toilets, Happy to pay a quid more to cover the costs.

Apart from this, whole event ran smooth, shame my knee didn't. Would recommend

In short: Wish Dronfield was flat
In full: Sent too much time in the pub this week. Considering the numbers and the variance in abilities I think it was well organiased. Great support all round ( well done dronfield). Hilly than I expected but lovely day. Only grumble was lack of water at mid point and the finish was too tight - should have finised on the road. By the way there was water at the finish

In short: Enjoyed the last race of the year ( or is it )
In full: Unfortunately man flu fri/sat but decided to run, struggled a bit and suffered for rest of week. Top run by the pushchair, was that the baby's PB ? I should have kept up with him. Worth a look in 2009

In short: Why not use chip timigs to stop the problems at the start
In full: Clearly no lessons learnt from the feedback last year. 1000 runners down a small country lane, bound to be problems. No time/clock at the end and think about 40 secs difference from what is showing on results. Why so many runners can the use chips- Not worth the 1.50 hrs travelling so I will give this one next year. By the way 1000 runners and one little shed for toilets ! Unfortunately no atmosphere on route.

In short: Overall one for anyone's 2009 race calendar
In full: Two moans - insufficient toilets and the start was not that well organised, loud hailer might have helped. Apart from that worth the trip, more ups than I expected but enjoyed the race. Marshalls were good but yes the last 400 m was tough but what a challenge
