In short: Very well organised, lovely setting, fast and flat
In full: This was my first half and I was pretty slow, but really happy to have finished. The communication from Dene has been excellent - keeping in touch for a few months beforehand, and race pack sent out at Christmas. I liked the mug and although I like medals, this is something I will use and it will remind me of the run. Also the t-shirts are great, low priced and everyone's name in a list on the back - unique! Will definitely do again next year - need to get some new trainers before then though, and a bit more training!

In short: Charity Gherkin run with 360 views of London as a reward!
In full: Really enjoyed this as was not sure how hard it was going to be. I found it quicker but harder than I expected. Was well organised with lots of NSPCC volunteers on hand to help. Chip timing worked well and results were very quickly on screen at the top. Nice goody bag, but wasn't expecting anything, and a nice medal as reminder of the day. A great cause, just need to get all my sponsor money in now!

In short: Great cause - Christmas feel-good event
In full: This is our third year of entering and its a shame its not even better supported, as it is advertised in the local papers quite a bit.Weather is always good strangely enough, fresh and sunny - my little'un and I ambled around and she did all 5 laps this year so I don't mind that its not a real race for me! Good support from the organisers - only grumble, the warm-up peeps were at ground level so we couldnt see them so made up our own moves at the back! Will be back again next Chrimbo :)

In short: Fairly challenging (first half) but enjoyable, nice atmosphere
In full: A well organised race by the Fire crew. Jolly marshalls, and nice little comments on the k markers kept me jogging along nicely.Fairly gruelling couple of hills up to 5k, but rewarded with a fun (I should have gone faster but un-grippy shoes made me take it easy) steep downhill, and then a lovely view of the Mole Valley.Nice atmosphere, with families coming along to watch and support, and tasty cakes after!! And I got a PB - chuffed!

In short: A great run for a great cause!
In full: Almost decided not to go because of the weather but very glad I did. Even got a PB, and was a great test for the GSR as I'm sure it will be similar conditions (unless we're v.lucky). Was a buzzy atmosphere snuggled in the RNLI hut beforehand, and nice touches like lollipops and a fine medal made it all worthwhile. Invigorating - I was happy all day!

In short: Brilliant organisation, lovely scenery, great value all round
In full: Can't really better the previous comments, thought that every detail had been met, the free tea was very much appreciated and the medal was lovely quality, even scribed on the back with the race name.Looking forward to next year already!
