In short: Its 26 miles at the end of the day, its never going to be easy!!
In full: Although i regularly run shorter races, this was my first marathon and i was very pleased with the experience. The out and back nature of the run will not suit everybody but i found it alright, when i do another (which this race has inspired me to do) i will be able to compare to a circuit format.

Was more suport than i was expecting although it was difficult for my girlfriend to see much of me due to not knowing the area or small roads leading along the route as the roads were shut-but all to the benefit of the runners so im not complaining! Water from bottles every 2 miles and Isotonic drinks every 4 or 5 miles i think were also appreciated.

Only draw back for about 24 hours was that my results didnt appear on the results on the website. Took the wind out of my excitement of looking to see how i had done but an email later and it had all been corrected so no long term grudge!

Best summary is that I would give it another go next year, well done for their first attempt!!

In short: Very well organised half marathon with a much needed down hill last mile!
In full: first 3-4 miles was undulating, not big hills but certainly an effort as the inclines were fairly long sometimes. Long straight roads in the park were a positive upto 10 miles then became hard work as i got more tired! The wind made it even more of a challenge at certain points but thats out of anyones control! Was my 1st time and will do again, well marshalled and they were supportive and i liked the 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m countdown to the finish! Well done

In short: Fantastic Challenge for a sunday morning! Tough work but a great race to reflect on whilst delving through my never ending goodie bag at the end of the race! Great t-shirt and will definately do again.

Marshalls were great, even in the rain and really kept me going up past the start finish line at the end of the 1st lap and bringing me in at the finish.
Thanks for a great morning
