In short: Another great Luton Marathon
In full: This was my 8th Luton marathon and despite the hash criticism dished out in 2008 and 2010 I have never had any issue with the running of this event which has always been spot on. A quality medal which puts a number of bigger races to shame was a bonus. Keep up the good work.

In short: Great event
In full: Having run much of the route up hill during the White Peak Marathon I was keen to try it down hill. What a great race! Fast course which my Garmin showed as 13.1 but I know that these things can mislead. My fastest half for nearly 10 years. Well done to all those involved. Will be back next year.

In short: Could become a great race with a few improvements.
In full: Nice route through the countryside with a few hills to keep things interesting. Main issue was the lack of drink stations on the second lap. Could have caused problems if the weather had been warm. Parking delay could have be avoided if the cost had been advised prior to race day as no one seemed to have the right change. Still you expect a few blips at a new race and I look forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Beautiful route
In full: A stunning route with some great views. More hills than I expected. Nothing too steep or long but plenty of ups and downs. Not sure what was going on with the 24 mile marker. Would prefer regular mile markers but if that wasn't possible perhaps we could have them for the last six miles? Entry fee a bit steep.

In short: Very enjoyable marathon
In full: The very fast course attracts some very fast runners (well compared to me anyway!) so I would agree with a previous review about it be lonely for the slower runners compared to a lot of marathons. The organisation was very good. Plenty of drink stations and supportive marshalls. The route was a lot more scenic than I expected. The walk back to the car was longer than you want after 26.2 miles!

In short: An enjoyable run in perfect conditions
In full: The third year running that I have done the marathon and there is little to fault. Easy parking, good mix of city and countryside, mostly flat route and excellent marshalls. I have to agree with the other comments about the medal etc and they need twice as many loos at the start/finish. Will be back again next year.

In short: MUD!
In full: An excellent marathon. A teating route made tougher this year by the conditions. Organisation cannot be faulted. The new park and ride system worked a treat. The ice cold shower at the end was.....bracing. My own fault for being slow. Spare a thought for the school caretaker who will be scrubbing the mud of the carpet for months!

In short: Very will organised marathon
In full: Another well organised race which is hard to find fault with. Plenty of parking right next to the race village, loads of well stocked drink stations and great goody bag and medal.

There must be something wrong with me as I quite like the section around the water sports centre. You get there around 18 miles and by the time you have slogged round it you are at 22 miles and well on the way home. Seems to make the second half seem shorter to me.

In short: Phew!
In full: That was tough! It was my 44th marathon and I have never run in conditions so brutal. A real challenge for Mr Milne and his helpers that could have gone badly wrong in less experienced hands. The scenery is stunning but my eyes didn't stray from my feet after 19 miles when it became a matter of just finishing in one piece! Thanks again to all concerned - a fantastic race. See you next time.

In short: Another enjoyable plod around Stratford
In full: This was my 4th Shakespeare marathon. Can't honestly say that the cup issue was that much of a problem. The point must be that they had plenty of water. If they had started to run out then that would have been cause for complaint. Overall a well organised race, easy parking right by the finish (council could have offered it for less than £6 though) and I even managed to enjoy the greenway for the first time ever!
