In short: fun in the ice
In full: an 8 mile bobsleigh run this year, and I had no trail shoes! Managed to slide around a well organised race with a friendly atmosphere. Well done Amazing feet, will be back in July.

In short: Great race for a Novice
In full: My first ever tri and what a delight this race was. Very friendly staff both at registration and marshalls, interesting bike circuit and easy run mostly on grass. Just one small gripe: the 2 site start/finish was a logistical challenge for a complete newbie like me, but that might be typical of all of them. Pretty low key event, but thoroughly enjoyable and I'm totally hooked!

In short: good weather, lovely finish, bottlenecks in parts
In full: 1st stratford half...and a super run. Great scenery, nice bit in the toen at the start and then wonderful open countryside. Top niggle must go to amount of traffic and the A road section, when runners definitely were playing second fiddle...but overall excellent

In short: Well organised, friendly round a scenic loop
In full: My first "bells", great organisation across the entire event, lovely course, undulating off-road, with a some challenges , but nothing to daunt even the beginers. I will defintely be back.

In short: windy but flat and great support, a wonderful experience
In full: My 1st marathon so I cant really compare , except to 1/2 marathons. But the gripes that keep cropping up in the reviews all hold some merit. Thought the end organisation was difficult to deal with as us poor runners really were subjected to unwelcome queueing just to get out of the place!.

But all in all it was a superb event. The crowds were friendly and the well-run water stations, markers and marshalls ensured a very smooth and enjoyable day... thank you Edinburgh

In short: friendly and fast with good support in places
In full: I'm not used to such a large entry (4500), so I didnt get into the start until 30 mins before due to the car queues. Then struggled to find marshalls to ask about the bag drop and worse I ended up near the back at the start. After that things improved, an excellent course with wonderful atmosphere and support along Ecclesall rd. But I found it difficult to overtake as it was so crowded and a lot of the route was narrow; that said I managed a PB, but I reckon, if I'm better organised and can get to the frontish at the start , then I could improve on this course. Overall excellent and will be back next year.

In short: great weather, lovely run, no steep hills
In full: my first1/2 marathon and it was a superb experience. The course was slightly downhill for the first 6 miles then flatish and then a 4-5 mile gentle climb up. Superb scenery and excellent marshalling - highly recommended - start and finish areas could be impoved though
