In short: Very scenic, good for a challenge - don't do it for a PB In full: Postive - Good challenging course all off road. Lovely scenic route and range of surfaces. Nice Marshalls. The 2K race for children is a good idea.
Toilets - If the race was to increase to more than 50 competitors then the female toilet facilities need to be improved. Unfortunately one functioning toilet for those of us with pre race nerves would not be sufficient.
Queing at the first stile. This could be avoided by routing the race to continue over the bridge on the public footpath (rather than coming down the embankment). The race could re enter the fields at a different point, which would still keep it at 10K and avoid the bunching up on the first couple of stiles. The current 50 competitors can cope with waiting, but would be worse if there were more runners.
Water at the end - Luckily I bought my own drinks bottle as I don't know what I would have done given there were no cups available.
I'm sure if the organisers contact Tunbridge Wells Harriers who put on a similar event, The Eridge 10, then they could learn a lot and improve the organisation further.
Great little event with lots of potential to grow.
