In short: Get next years date in the diary! In full: 2nd time for me and few disappointments. Potential PB course, good support, well marshalled, goody bag ok, medal great and generally well organised. Improvements could be looked at regarding mile markers while the 2 wave start is great tho if, like Bath Half, they displayed 10/15 min finish times within each wave you may get runners better sorted at start. Why do people moan about cobbles? No more of a challenge than a demanding hill climb (which Briz doesn't have), they add bit of character. Runners Village well placed and portaloos aplenty. My only real gripe was arriving early for an advertised massage only to be told the marquee had been mis-signed and it was for physio not massage. Date of review: October 2, 2012

In short: 5k beginner friendly In full: Another well organised event. Informally efficient,, no fuss but no stone left unturned by the organisers. the finish area on the green made for a very pleasant experience. Course was well marshalled and 'arrowed' and the start at the wharf is, in my opinion better than the previous town centre start. May try the 10miler next year!! Date of review: May 28, 2012

2011 Dyrham Park 10km Series

In short: A most challenging 10k but the scenery took much of the pain away! In full: The hill x 3 was a test for all abilities but a great sense of achievement come the end. Doubtful that anyone could ever run a PB on this course but as training for other less demanding 10k's this is the one! My Garmin measured course about 120m less than 10k but the hills made up for that. Quite expensive for the race itself, up to £20 on the day. On the other hand for those spending the day 'free' at Dyrham Park it was probably good value. Though the momento was superb I wonder whether a medal and some other goodies may have proved a better deal. For those of us entering the remaining 2 races I hope the goody bag will be different next time as I'm not too keen on collecting 'same as' momentos. Finally, I heard a few grumblings about the casualness and lack of punctuality of start. For runners who time their warm ups this was a little frustrating. All in all a well organised event and I'm looking forward to the next one. In short: Another well organised, enjoyable event In full: Well done Wells City Harriers! As ever, an event full of atmosphere, superbly organised, well marshalled and a must for all ages and abilities. Delighted to receive both t-shirt and a medal and the massage for a fiver was a bonus. Shame the timing clock wasnt working at the end but that's a minor thing, in fact it made the wait for the official results and timings even more exciting! An absolute must every year, brill. In short: Well organised race on a potentially quick course In full: Gradual inclines rather than steep hills with some pleasurable downhill sections. Hill at 9k not as threatening as I thought. Embroidered towel in goody bag was a nice touch. definately be back next year Date of review: May 1, 2011

In full: Preferred the different start position and glad ground was firm. Organisation was full of good intent for which I was grateful but to run out of goody bags and produce a number of inaccuracies in the listed results was disappointing. My absence from the results list would never convince my mates that I really did run! They did rectify it though. Date of review: April 13, 2011

In short: Challenging, not cheap at £15! In full: Enjoyable and well organised but my garmin suggested it was only just over 6 miles so maybe a remeasure is needed. Nonetheless, well marshalled, medal and goody bag well received. Date of review: October 13, 2010

In short: Very enjoyable, well organised and a must enter for next year In full: Scenic, atmospheric and for many of us I'm sure Con' Hill was a challenge especially on 2nd lap, so maybe not a PB potential for most (not all of us can clearly be in Alistair's class!). Pleased to see chip timing and marshalling was unfussy and extremely efficient. Well done to all who gave their time to ensure a must enter event in 2011. Date of review: May 30, 2010
