In short: Excellent Coastal Route - tough, but with stunning scenery
In full: A really great route. It's hard to exagerate how beautiful some of the views were. Some tough climbs make a PB pretty unlikely. Friendly marshals manning water stations every couple of miles, with water, juice, jelly babies and sponges at nearly every one. Couple of issues with route marking, especially where a turning off of the road into a field had no arrow and no marshal - I assume arrow must have blown away (?).
Race village at start/finish added to atmosphere and free cream tea was much appreciated.
Overall a great event that deserves to do well.

In short: Great Route - Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun cross country.
In full: Hugely enjoyable 6 miles. The course has plenty to keep your interest: a few challenging climbs, including a short sharp scree accent near the finish; river crossings; mostly on paths through woodland and fields, with a fairly short road section; and all in beautiful surroundings.
The good atmosphere at start and finish, friendly marshalls, and enjoyable finish (if you like sprinting up hills).
Somer AC have created an excellent event.

In short: Fast course, Well organised.
In full: Flat course with loads of PB potential. This was reflected in the relatively fast field.

Marshals did a great job, especially at road crossings, which were so slickly handled they didn't cost you a second. Great to have a stadium finish. Technical T is useful, however, goody bag not particularly inspired (mars bar and bottle of water) - perhaps a flapjack or energy shake would be a worthwhile addition for post run refuelling.

Overall a very well organised race that's well worth considering if you're looking for a PB.

In short: Great Course - Enough hills to make it intereresting without being total killers.
In full: Really enjoyed this one. Good to have timing chips at a smaller event like this. Enjoyable hilly route with an up-hill final mile leaves you feeling like you've had to work. Good sandwich selection at the end. Overall well done.

In short: If you enjoy the Grizzly or Beast you'll enjoy this.
In full: 1st time for me. Superb route: some very tough uphills; lots of brilliant downhills; great scenery. Lucky with the weather this year, could imagine it being quite a slog in bad weather. Hot showers and plenty of delicious cake and sandwiches at finish. What more could you want.

In short: Tough 'n' Fun.
In full: Great wake up call for the new year. Excellent course with great views, some challenging climbs and some really fun downhills. Organisation can't be faulted with plenty of cakes, loos and cheerful marshalls.
