In short: Hot, hilly but heaps of fun.
In full: Well organised by a small club. Plentiful marshalls, all of whom were very encouraging, lovely scenery, killer uphill drag in the first half but great downhills later... I'm coming back despite the grazed knees.

In short: Great day out, even for supporters.
In full: Agree with pretty much all comments, was really well organised, friendly marshalls, not too crowded, lovely scenery.

And it kept OH happy, the first race he's actually requested that I do again! Plenty of kids activities, family friendly location, decent food and cask ale. We'll definitely be back.

Could have been more signs to event village from car park, but minor gripe.

In short: Good weather and course for PB potential
In full: Weather really helped today, pretty much perfect conditions.

Organisation not too bad, bit chaotic post finish line and not quite enough toilets pre start. Also too few marshalls for the first half, I was with an injured runner, and it seemed to take ages for anyone to arrive.

Whinge over, I got a PB by 10 mins, and will definitely be back. Loved it.

In short: Disappointing
In full: Similar gripes, understand delayed start, toilets adequate in runner's area, saw lots unnecessary queueing - if you walked further into toilet area queues only 5 deep, and lack of goodies bit sad, all may have been more bearable in sunnay weather.

Why were there pallets of gatorade at the finish, (surplus being taken home by the crate later in the day) and none left at mile 9? I was counting on the energy boost for the last few miles, us slower runners really needed it by then.

In short: Good race but too slow and you miss out...
In full: I felt it was reasonably well organised, though not as flat as I'd been led to believe. Tough two laps for slower runners, and the 10mile lucozade had run out by the time we got there. However, being slow had one advantage - no queueing through finishing funnel! But no foil blankets either!
I recommend paying a few quid extra for 1st class train seat, well worth it.
I'll be back, but only because I can combine it with a girlie catchup and shopping trip with friends.

In short: First visit, definitely be back if only to sample the homemade cakes on offer1
In full: Marshalls were very supportive, and thank you to the guy shouting the splits at 5k, very encouraging.
